    bbjam: That's why the patch has been provided. Note that it applies cleanly only against 2.46 checkout. You have most probably some hacking to do if you wish to apply it to current SVN version.

    Hi everybody

    Do not worry: there is still no Win and OSX builds because the patch is not fully functional; it should be fixed in less than a day if Farsthary get connected
    (he has to submit 2 files in order that someone produces a fully fonctional one)

    About the linux build, Farsthary has directly sent it to Zanqdo or to someone else: he did not forget win and osx users, it's only that he is under linux and has poor working conditions (he lives in Cuba, only get connected less than 1h daily thank to his university and has so much restrictions that he can not even feed his blog himself!!), so it has made some tweaks in order to produce a patch, and this is difficult to make everything perfect at the first attempt...

    With them + the uncomplete patch, it should be okay:

    translation for end users: win and osx build are about to come in a few hours (hopefully). More important, Farsthary precious work is secured.

    I will try to publish a clean patch if possible.

    Hi all!

    Thanks for the comments, as Ruddy says the diff Patch missing the new files I added to Blender: Volumetric.h and Volumetric.c but now are included appart so I hope you could build it without much problem.
    I essentially added things to the Blender code, I only modified 2 lines of the existent code and dont remove anything.

    There's some things that are not ready that I deleted from the released code like the hypervolume render algorithms that I already made, because it should wait until datasets volumetrics gets done

    Im ansious to see the evaluation from the users and the coders . Be aware until I made the new help because its easy to get lost with some parameters that are not correct initialized and could cause blender hang up!

    It would be cool to have a x64 build, to test that beyond the 4gigs limit, for high res renders !

    I got errors when trying to build with scons on ubuntu 8.04 64:
    [code]source/blender/render/intern/source/rayshade.c:1236: error: invalid storage class for function ‘trace_reflect’[code/]
    That was the first one, I know from my programing experience that the other errors my be missleading.

    I set it up by coping the Extra source files over a fresh blender 2.46 source and then patching, I hope that was right.
