This build a debug version, for backtrace why crash blender.

a short tutorial how run apricot_15419_Debug in Debug mode:

-install the gdb in console:

sudo apt-get install gdb

-enter the linux_apricot_15419_Debug dir in this case:

cd ~/linux_apricot_15419_Debug/

-load gdb

gdb ./blender

-if the (gdb) loaded press "r" and Enter, and …run blender until it crashes…

- (enter the command “bt” then enter)
The backtrace shows what line blender crashed and can often help solve bugs.
