    PlumiBlender

    There are *SO many* features added in PlumiBlender that it will take us a bit to list them all together in one place,

    For now, see some features included in this build, here.

    Warning:
    the blend format used by PlumiBlender is slightly different from the original one. Using both versions on same file might produce data lost.

     

    Before using it, disable "Auto Save Temp Files" option in your User preferences, then File > Save Default Settings. Otherwise it will crash (due to some Windows/Linux file system stuff).

    Thank you!,I will try it! I hope there be new add in like fiber node or filter to create fake fur.Since this version have cloud 2,perhaps I can create the illusion I want and I had made some good results.Keep it coming!!

    will this was short live,I did some radical animation with camera angle,fly by with cube,particles,soft body rig and other,And it crash and burn.keep it coming!

    These things really jumped out at me:
    - Ability to see layer with active object/layers with objects
    - Wildcard search in outliner
    - Method to designate folder for backups
    - Bypass node for the time consuming modes
    - Step frame

    These are really *essential* usability improvements and please tell me that these features will join the official branch! (Can't be doing with two branches with incompatible .blends)

    Thanks very much for this "PlumiBlender" Build for windows!

    I also like many Features and i hope this will join the Official branch like Koba says!
    I like also very much the Use "F" for fly mode in the View properties Panel and the Show Camera Name!
    I also like the Bypass nodes for the time consuming modes

    The collapse Panel for Layers for Bones in Pose Mode "N" key Panel!
    The Frame Info Stamp Node and the others Filters....etc!
    and the Draws only R,G,B in Uv-Image Editor!
    some Notice:
    The blend function for a "Backround Image" not works!
    If you add a Scene...or Image...etc in the VSE and change the Channel to 32 Blender Crasches (in the Image Preview)!
    I also have some Crashes in the Compositor !!

    I hope for some more Updated New "Plumiblender" Builds here in Graphicall so we can explore some new Features like this!

    This is really great. I cannot wait when Plumiferos branch and Peach branch goodies will be eventually implemented in official Blender (2.50? maybe). These days there tons of really exciting stuff added by coders every day.

    For all lazy ones there is preview of all new stuff in this Plimiferos build:
    New Features included in PlumiBlender:

    * Calculation of timecode based on current frame.
    * RGB channels shown separatedly in UV Editor.
    * Option for lamps (”draw color”) to draw them with their original assigned colour.
    * Bone layer buttons accesible from Transform Panel in 3DView.(bdiego).
    * Option in command line to scan a blend file for an object and print all relevant linking info. (scan.png) (bdiego). Output is formatted in 4 columns:

    1. L/E indicates if it’s Local or Extern
    2. LOCAL or complete path to the file (in EXTERN case)
    3. Object type
    4. Object name

    * Stamp Info, prints extra information on rendered frame. (bdiego). It prints: Date, Time,Frame number,Camera name, Scene name, Blend file name (already included in Blender SVN)
    * New option “Show Camera Name” to display camera name in 3D Viewport for all views (bdiego).
    * Colours in layer buttons indicates which layers have objects and which layers the active object is in. Colours are themeable:

    1. Themes -> 3D View -> Color of Not Empty Layer
    2. Themes -> 3D View -> Color of Not Empty Layer with Active Object

    * Function to insert keyframes from action editor (only for armatures in PoseMode). (bdiego).
    * Button to select the parent object of any hook modifier (bdiego).
    * New option to set colour of all lamps to white temporarily and then set them back to their original colour (bdiego).
    * Lock of the “roll” value of a bone so it won’t be changed by “Ctrl+N”. (bdiego).
    * Custom Colours for bones in Pose and Object Mode, besides two options were added in Theme to set the wire colour of a bone whene selected or active:

    1. Theme -> 3dview -> Bone Custom Select
    2. Theme -> 3dview -> Bone Custom Active

    * Name of lamps in outliner is displayed with lamp colour.
    * Outliner window can be pinned (bdiego)
    * Search function in Outliner using “wildcards” generates a custom tree, search modes are:

    1. SO_CUSTOM_SEARCH:Filter applies to object names.
    2. SO_CUSTOM_ACTIVE:Filter applies to Bones, Modifiers and Vertex Groups from active object (all shown in same tree)
    3. SO_CUSTOM_SELECTED:Same as above but on all selected objects.
    4. SO_CUSTOM_LIBRARY:Filter applies to library paths.
    5. SO_CUSTOM_GROUP:Filter applies to object names in each group.

    * Zoom range for nodes view was increased . (bdiego)
    * IPO Editor: in Key ode, curves keep their colour. (bdiego)
    * CTRL + PageUp/Down surf among strip ends in Sequencer
    * SHIFT + PageUp/Down moves strips vertically one channel in Sequencer. (bdiego)
    * Option to change Horizon Angle when using “Hori” in panel “map to” for World textures. (bdiego).
    * Saving of “render layers” from different “scenes” in same EXR file. (bdiego)
    * Camera view shows an icon to allow grabbing when passpartout is at 100%. (bdiego)
    * IPO Editor: “motion slow” added when keeping pressed SHIFT key
    * Node Compositor: CTRL + R to rename nodes. (bdiego/damiles)
    * Confirmation on exit/save or load file if current file has modifications. (bdiego)
    * IPO Editor change in behaviour for autosnapping. If Key mode is on, grabbing a keyframe with CTRL hold, first snaps to the nearest frame and then it continues snapping to the following frame. (bdiego)
    * “Auto Backup”. Generates a backup copy of the current file (updated with Auto-save) in a special “backup” folder in user’s desktop. An option in “File” menu let the user to clean this backup folder. (bdiego)
    * “Render Step” option to skip frames when rendering. (bdiego)
    * Clouds 2 texture as Built-In type (was a plugin)

    New Compositor Nodes:
    =====================

    * Circular Blur
    * Gain node
    * Radial Blur
    * Boolean
    * Frame Info. Adds the following info to the frame: File name, Camera, Scene, Frame number, Timecode, Date, User comment
    * Empty Node
    * Directional Blur
    * Option for Blur Node to calculate in percentage (damiles)
    * “Fix” Node to correct wrong values in pixels (white spots). (bdiego)
    * Option “ByPass” for Blur, Defocus and Vector Blur nodes, to avoid calculation of these nodes but keep on calculating rest of the node chain. (bdiego)

    I have a Problem with this Build:
    when i start this build (after about 5-10 minutes Plumiblender Crashes!) ....without working doing anything!??
    the same when i work it crashes after a while!

    Windows XP Pro
    Pentium 4
    Nvidia Gforg 2mx
    1.7 ghz
    no servicepack
    can someone confirm this? (or only its me with this problem)!

    Confirmed, disable "Auto Save Temp Files", then Ctrl + U to save your preferences.

    We will try to solve this soon. Updated the post.

    I disabled "Auto Save Temp files" and then Save Ctr-U the Preferences!.....but not helps (Crashes again!) exactly in the time when Plumiblender creates the backUp Folder with the Backup file!
    I think the problem is in the Backup folder creation!

    I use win Vista... i deactivated the auto save function... but it still crashes after a few minutes
