    64 bit Freestyle build, nice!!!

a NEW 64bit OSX BUILD!!! Thank you TK! Time toe test out the z-depth and density shaders in my freestyle modules. 32-bit freestyle builds just crash far too often, thanks for the 64bit build.

this build crashes for me on startup, even after deleting the ".b25.blend" I'm getting the following console errors:

    "ImportError: No module named encodings.utf_8"

THe previous OSX 64 builds you posted on graphicall worked fine. Thanks for your builds TK

blenderificus, i can't reproduce the error on 10.6.2. but i will clean and build again. btw, what version of os x are you running?

blenderificus, ok, i discovered that's a python thing. encodings.utf_8 seems to be missing from .../blender.app/Contents/MacOS/.blender/python/lib/python3.1/encodings/

srry about that. i am rebuilding now and will post a hopefully working build soon.

like that of lightning, TK brings the builds! Thanks TK

after looking at this again, utf_8.py is NOT missing. so i'm not sure what's happening here. anyways, re-build coming up...
    blenderificus
odd, hmm, I'm on 10.5.8, not sure it that is an issue, maybe it requires 10.6? ODd though that the other 64 bit builds work fine. hmm

    ok, rebuild is up.
    blenderificus
and older build, OSX 64bit build #268245 still starts up fine for me. But after re-downloading this build and testing, this one give 2 new errors in the console on startup:

    error#1: SystemFlippers: didn't consume all data for long ID 0 (pBase = 0x11e50a810, p = 0x11e50a814, pEnd = 0x11e50a818)

error#2: Fatal Python error: Py_Initialize: can't initialize sys standard streams

I've tried deleting the .b25.blend file, but still get the error :-(

Your time is valuable for the actual development of the branch; I just wanted to share this with your regarding the actual 64 bit builds. Hopefully a future build will launch properly soon, thanks again for all your hard work TK!

not sure if this is causing the problem or not, but i noticed that there are some new compiler flags added in darwin-config.py. i'm going to revert them to match r26824. we'll see if that fixes it for 10.5.8. :D
(i'm no expert on any of this stuff, this is kinda a shot in the dark.)
    blenderificus
I too had noticed some recent changes that seemed like they affected the darwin config, hmm. I appreciate you taking the time to debug this for me(and other OSX freestyle users)

ok, uploaded again. this time compiled with the compiler flags as they were in r26824. blenderificus, does it work for you?
    blenderificus
Just tested the 3rd build... it too crashed UNTIL....

OK, i thought of a random thing, move the folder that the build is in to my desktop, just to see if python is having an issue with the directory path to this particular build(dont know why it would)... and then, ALL 3 RECENT BUILDS LAUNCH PROPERLY.
Then, I moved the folder containing this build back to its original location, nested a few layers deep in my applications folder. I noticed this folder structure leading to this build had a few "." periods and dashes "-" in the various file names, I took them out, and now all the builds launch correctly, very odd. But wanted to report it to you. Odd that file naming convention would prevent a specific build from launching on OSX when other builds dont seem to care what the naming conventions leading to it are. I wonder what causes that.

Thank you for all your work to resolve this issue, not its time for me to do some test renders with z-depth pixel density shaders!!! thanks TK.

glad you figured it out. it is strange that unusual characters in the file path would only affect this particular build, no idea there. ok, replaced the build again ;) with the newer compiler flags in.

I get a crash when I render sometimes. It appears to have something to do with imported 2.49 empties, traveling along a path and dupligrouping a curve that resides in another scene.

    Banzai???.

Crashes when I bake a fluid simulation from a 2.49 file that I opened

great thing, had lots of fun playing around and still cant get my fingers of from it ! thanks for this big thing.

however, animations seems somwhat broken. while path-driven things seem to work, i cant insert any keyframes. within the official alpha2 relesase i have no problems.

but, as im realtively new to blender, i might missing something else here.

can't download for some reason. broken link maybe?
