PLEASE DEVS MERGE WITH TRUNK!!! Freestyle is an amazing styling tool that gives blender another 'edge' over the competition ;) Let the power of community prevail!!! I hope to see this in launch.

    Max,
At the moment japanese_bigbrush.py does not work well.
See the FAQ entry on this: http://maximecurioni.com/freestyle/?page_id=475#B6
The dev team is awave of the calculation speed issue.
Not a specific short-term plan, but it is listed as one of
many possible improvements in the latest status report:

    Thank you!!
By the way, though it is hope that I want you to add the function of the "freestyle parameter editor".

    daywalker,
Thanks for your interest in the Freestyle Parameter Editor
(FPE). Frankly to say, the FPE is experimental and the
dev team considers it a temporary solution. We envision a
more general solution to allow users to tweak parameters
through a graphical interface, although this is not part
of a short-term plan. The 2009 Summer status report below
discusses the issue and related things.
