MAKE SURE YOUR UBUNTU IS UP TO DATE
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
To make this version work, you'll need to install/replace a couple of libs. These come from Ubuntu 10.10. Have tested this end of 10.04 and all worked perfectly, but do this at your own risk!
right click and 'saves link as' for each link
Install them in the order above.. if you have ncurses dev installed remove before using Gdebi via synaptic.
Now includes Oscuart Tools, Import Sound to anim(allows u to drive scale of an object and bone rotaion et by sound.. wav), and various other Addons
Skin (Zspheres) Multi Axis Grid
Dual Contour Remesh Straight
Dynamic Paint Color Wireframe
Relaxation Spring modifier
Snap to Curve
Double Edge Matte compositor node
YAFARAY 0.1.2 Alpha included.. Hope it works for all.. fingers crossed
All Boost 1.43 libs, from my own build, are included with this for you to copy to your /usr/libs folder so SLG will run. Copy only the libs in the folder and not the folder itself. Have also included my pylux.so in the Luxrender Addons folder.. Do hope it works for all Nvidia GPU's.
Make sure you have the most current Nvidia drivers installed on your distro. If you are using Mint you may find you'll need to install Cuda toolkit and libfreeimage3 to make SLG and pylux.so work. I'd suggest installing these anway, even for Ubuntu.
Cuda Toolkit Link ::
http://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-toolkit-32-downloads#Linux
To install, open terminal and execute file as root user..
sudo sh ./cudatoolkit_3.2.16_linux_*.run
it will ask where to install the toolkit, just hit return and all should install without an issue
To install libfreeimage3 head to Synatic or what ever Package Manager your distro uses. Search and install.
Luxrender Engine Presets are also included
Big thanks should go out to all the harding working contributors.Without the likes of Bartek Skorupa, Bartius Crouch, chromoly, Dany Lebel, etoven, EOF-sensei, Fabio Russo, Filiciss, Fish, Jeroen Bakker, Keith Boshoff, khuuyj, LetterRip, Luca Bonavita, mato, Matt Ebb, Matthias Fauconneau, Miika Hämäläinen, Mike Pan, Nico, ousttrue, Raul Fernandez Hernandez, Seminumerical, stiv, Tobias Oelgarte, and Ze10, Blender would be just another opensource 3D program. I have followed your intruction to install libavutil50, libncurses5_5.7+20100626, gettext_0.18.1.1-1. Because I don't need SLG so I skipped the next procedure (Boost 1.43 libs and Cuda Toolkit). Here is my computer's specification:
- Intel QuadCore
- Ubuntu 10.10 32-Bit (recently upgraded from 10.04)
- NVidia GeForce 9500 GT with Driver 260.19.06 installed
- Python v2.6 and v3.1 installed
